To check faecal pollution of water. Parameter covered is coliform bacteria in drinking water associated with Hydrogen sulphide production.
The check signal is colour change of water after 24 hrs incubation. If the water sample remains yellow after 24 hrs, it is free of pathogens. If the water sample turns black after 24 hours, water is unsafe for drinking.
